Data attributions

SecureNow labels security events with the network operator (autonomous system number and organisation) of the client IP address, so detections can spot attacks spread across one provider. That IP-to-ASN data comes from the following sources, each licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License:

• IP Geolocation by DB-IP (IP to ASN Lite database).
• The IP to AS Number database created by Route Views.

Both are distributed in MaxMind DB format by ip-location-db. The data is used unmodified for lookups.
